Get Ready With Me~ My Everyday Look...

By Lucy Harbron - 20:48

Its been a while since i showed you all my everyday make-up/hair look so i thought it was time. I do change my make-up a lot, especially my eye make-up, dependant on my outfit. But this is my go-to look, hope you like it.

Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water
Freederm Perfecting Moisturiser
Body Shop Instablur Primer

Before even starting on make-up i need to prep my skin. After washing my face i like to use this micellar water to make sure my skin is super clean and its really refreshing. I then moisturise and prime my skin. Since adding a primer to my routine my make-up has been staying on way way nice and I'm left with a much nicer finish so i really recommend using a primer if you don't already.

Yves Saint Laurent foundation in BR10
Rimmel stay matte power in 001
Real Techniques expert face brush
Avon powder brush
My face make-up is always the same and I've been using these same products for as long as i can remember. The collection concealer matches my skin tone perfectly so i use that to cover blemishes and my (massive) dark circles and blend it all in with my real techniques brush. Then i like to use a little bit of foundation; which i tend to apply with my hands as it blends better, just to illuminate my skin a little bit. I set it all with the rimmel powder that pretty much everyone has.

After my face make-up i move onto brows. I like to use both a pencil and a powder to make my eyebrows thicker and look fuller as i want to look like Cara D (obviously) If you want me to do a post all about my eyebrow routine, just ask.

Miss Sporty Studio Lash Eyeliner
Loreal Super Liner Perfect Slim
Rimmel Scandaleyes Kohl in 001
Avon Palette
No7 Lash Impact mascara

Winged eyeliner is my go to (when i have the time). I use a matte, nude eye-shadow as a base to conceal to redness of my eyes, then start off using my loreal liner to map out my wing. I then go over it with the miss sporty liquid eyeliner which is much darker and more intense and stays on forever. I use a kohl liner to line my waterline and then add lots and lots of mascara, especially on my bottom lashes. I'm always going for a graphic, 60s vibe with my eye make-up so that means a LOT of mascara on bottom lashes.

If I'm feeling lazy or have less time I'll use the kohl liner to line my waterline and then smudge a little bit along my lash line and maybe at a bronze eye-shadow just to darken my eyes. Then I'll apply even more mascara than normally would to really open up my eyes.

MUA Undress Your Skin highlighter
Cath Kidston angled blush brush
Finally i lightly contour my face, adding a little bit of bronzer in the hollows on my cheeks, jawline and temples. I use a little bit of blush on the apples on my cheeks to give me some colour, then highlight my cheekbones, brow bone, Cupid's bow and the bridge of my nose. My favourite make-up product ever ever is this MUA highlighter, its so beautiful and pearly. Its only £3.00 and leaves such a pretty glow, i really really recommend trying this.

Models Co illusion lip liner
Avon "pout" lipstick
I've been loving super nude lips recently. I use this nude lip liner to outline and fill in my lips then layer a pinky/nude lipstick over the top. I've kinda gone off statement lips recently, its a shame! But nude lips are so my thing right now.

And this is the finished look! very very simple, with (hopefully) glowy skin and nude lips.

Since cutting my hair I've been loving having it all curly. I use the Nicky Clark Ceramic Waving wand to create messy waves . I don't like my hair to be too neat so i just wave it the best i can then mess it up with my fingers and I'm done.

Striped Polo Neck-River Island
Denim Skirt-George
Coat-Tesco
Boots-Garage Shoes
On this particular day i was just going out for dinner with my family to celebrate my mum's birthday so i went pretty simple. I love this top/skirt combo, its so Parisian and made me feel super classy and chic and happy. I paired it with a massive oversized coat and chunky boots to add an edgier, more boyish vibe and that's it! This sort of outfit is my go-to, super simple but looks like you've put loads of effort in.

What's your go-to look?

  3. I absolutely adore your outfit! I've been lusting over a skirt like that for a while now - I can't believe that yours is from George! And that top is just perfect with it. I pair almost every outfit with chunky shoes, I love how they can make anything look a bit more boyish and edgy because I'm really not a girly girl!
Ps. your hair is wonderful! :)
