We didn't forget the books #1...

By Lucy Harbron - 20:08

SO!

The title of this little blog I've been running for almost a year is "things the books forgot..." which came from the song Samson by Regina spektor, and the lyric "and the history books forgot about us, and the bible didn't mention us, not even once" which I LOOOOVE. But mainly, I just like to read.

And honestly, sometimes I feel like I have very little to talk about based around fashion and beauty, especially at the moment when I've been reading and writing and thinking a lot! So...

I want to start a monthly thing about LEGIT BOOKS (omg.) And I want all you fellow book nerds to get involved in the comments and over on the facebook page pls xo

I have certain books I re-read over and over again and I would recommend to anyone! So i'm going to recommend them to you!

Oh Stephen you beautiful man. Honestly my love for this book is like a year 7 relationship. I had never even heard about it, but then on one of my waterstones ventures in the Durham store (one of my faves, so cute) It just caught my eye and i was like...

And im not going to lie, while reading the book i was like "what the heck am i reading..." because it seemed to be drugs, parties, hormones forever, and honestly it wasn't until I finished the book when it hit me, and i was like...

If you're reading this book and thinking "what is this" hang on, you will understand! It's probably one of the most beautiful pieces of literature I've ever read, and the film didn't disappoint either, but I urge you to read the book if you haven't! I re-read this book so often and each time I fall in love with it further and further. PERFECT.

This is another book I just found and im so glad I did. This book made my heart ache and fly at the same time, it managed to make me smile and make me cry at the same time! I don't even know what to say about this book other than it just gave me a totally new perspective on many things, and im so so so glad I read it and even though it looks and sounds a lot like a child/young adult book, I think all ages should read it and love it!

What. Can. I. Say. When I bought this book I honestly had no idea what it was about, I had just heard the title and liked it and oh my lordy WHY DID I DO THIS TO MYSELF IT'S SO BEAUTIFUL AND SO TRAGIC.If you like love stories that fight to not be a love story, and actually have depth, this is for you (if you don't mind falling in love with, then crying over fictional charecters) just omg.

So they're the books i've re-read to death! Leave me a comment, or post on my facebook page what yours are!

Have a lovely lovely day
